Americans nationwide are facing an onslaught of robocalls claiming they have been approved for $50,000 personal loans they never applied for.
The Exploit Breakdown: Scammers scrape personal information such as names and phone numbers from data breaches or public websites to generate targeted victim lists. Using automated dialing software and AI voice bots, they blast victims with pre-scripted loan offers. Their main goal is to pressure targets into sharing Social Security or bank account details to “finalize the application” or gather fees for fake loans.
